Police Criminal Record Certificate

Applicants may submit the Police Criminal Record Certificate (PCRC) application via the web or apply at Foreign Affairs Section, Hualien County Police Bureau.

Required documents:

Proof of Identity:
(1) R.O.C ID card (for R.O.C citizen, passport is required to obtain a PCRC in both Chinese and English.)  
(2) Foreign nationals residing in Taiwan: An original passport. (An Alien Recident Certificate is also required for ARC holders.)

Time required for processing:

1.For online application: It typically takes 1-2 working days to process the application. However, it may take longer for applications which require an inquiry for criminal records to judicial authorities, namely courts or military courts.

2.Apply at H.C.P.D: Applicants with NO criminal records can pick up their PCRC right away (roughly within 12 mins). It may take longer for applications which require an inquiry for criminal records to judicial authorities, namely courts or military courts.

Application fee:Police Criminal Record Certificates cost NT$100 for the first copy, and NT$ 20 for each additional copy (CASH only). Overseas applicants shall remit US$7 in cash for the first copy (applicants from Hong Kong and Macau shall remit US$6 in cash, including postage), and US$1 for each additional copy.

Note:

English name must be consistent with passport.
If the applicant has had any prior trial, please bring the relevant court or trial document to verify applicant is status.
If you assign an individual to apply on your behalf, you must submit a valid power of attorney with your signature or stamp included on the application form. Authorized individuals must present proof of identity when picking up a certificate.
